10 Hostels for Girls

admin | August 26th, 2010 | No Comments »

Although the majority of hostels are suitable for us girls, I’ve prepared a list of places that make the difference for women traveling alone.

1. Pink Hostel, New York

Pink Hostel is an oasis of peace located on the north area of Central Park. This is the only “female” hostel in the Big Apple and the atmosphere is really nice and fun.

It’s fully equipped: there are washing and drying machines, the front-desk is open 24 hours and they have an ultramodern security system. You also have access to a huge kitchen, a living room with a high definition TV (perfect for meeting other female travelers) and the staff is always willing to help and offer good travel tips.

Gay Gay Gay

admin | August 26th, 2010 | No Comments »

We went on vacation with a “low battery alert” and we’re back as good as new, full of new ideas. Thinking about our own plans and listening to others’. This week – contrary to the silly news we read on other sites – we’ve discovered a site that will help you if you plan a vacation to the Canary Islands. Check it out, they introduced themselves a couple of days ago, see what you think.

On other news, Expogay is coming up and it already has over 200 exhibitors for the first gay commercial event in Spain, October 15th, 16th and 17th.

Yes, there are people who work in August. Look at us. We just came back from vacations and we’ve added one more guide to the list of downloadables, one of the most magical places in the Mediterranean: Denia. The Denia Guide includes gay and gay-friendly places, hotels and hostels, a list of beaches that you can’t miss and a few useful tips if you decide to visit. As usual, if you’re a business owner in the area or if you want to recommend a place that is not on this guide, leave a comment and we’ll include it in the guide for you. Enjoy!

admin | June 30th, 2010 | No Comments »

The Gay Pride Celebration in Madrid is one of the best on the planet. This year we’ve prepared the full dossier of activities and some curiosities if you’ve never been to Pride in Madrid (by the way, what are you waiting for?) Here’s the first: The organizers estimate that it means an economic stimulus of 100 millon euros for the city. This year, Pride is betting on a more sustainable model and on causing minimal impact on Chueca, the most popular gay neigborhood in the city. A million and a half people are expected in Madrid between June 20th and July 4th.

…By Gléz-Serna.

This Saturday is the day of the second celebration of Southern Pride. Today I’ve been able to delight in situ with the huge Pride flag fluttering at the heights of the Alamillo bridge. You can see it miles away. It will be the first thing that gays and lesbians that come from Extremadura will see as they enter the city, announcing the celebration. Read More
