About Us

NidoGay (pronounced /ˈnɪ.ðo ˈɡeɪ / NIDD-A-GAY) is a website dedicated specifically to Gay Travel and News. We (we as in Nuria, a writer/journalist and Ale, a photographer/designer) started out as a blog with the idea of commenting on what we like when we’re ready to travel: what to pack, where to eat, what places to see and, above all… where to have a good time. Since the majority of the sites we visited just talked about saunas/baths, theme clubs (leather/bears…) and places we don’t usually go to, we decided to make our own guide with a slightly different touch. You could say that NidoGay is the first website dedicated to gathering info on gay and gay-friendly places where you can find anything related to art and design, culture, good cuisine, where to buy, nice accommodation and nightlife.

A few months after having this idea NidoGay was born, in October 2009. In only four months of life NidoGay reached a monthly 1,800 visitors and we’re still growing. The idea is still the same: to expand and build a community; we’re happy to offer you everything we know about gay travel around Europe, and with our collaborators in England, Japan and Latin America, we’re widening our knowledge to gather it and give it to you.
